ABOUT US

Worship is at the heart of the life of our congregation
Our sense of who we are is formed by our gathering regularly in worship, and our call to mission and service is part of our identity as Presbyterians. If you are looking for a church home in which to make a difference in your life and in your community, please join us. All are welcome!

Our wonderful history
Over one hundred seventy years ago, four men and nine women shared their love for God and formed a common vision.  Together, they organized The First Presbyterian Church in Fulton, Missouri and began to live the mission they envisioned.  The generations that would follow benefited from that group’s efforts.  And in the spirit of that small group, each successive generation added their own vision to the mission of The First Presbyterian Church.  They added a sanctuary for worship, a college to educate young people, an addition for Christian education and fellowship, a retirement home to minister to the needs of older adults and supported countless ministries locally and around the world. They helped create and support organizations like Ecumenical Ministries and Serve to meet the needs of our community.  Each generation built upon the legacy, enhancing the corporate mission of the church.

Our Vision

Our sense of who we are is formed by our gathering regularly in worship, our call to mission, and service is part of our identity as Presbyterians. If you are looking for a church home in which to make a difference in your life and in your community, please join us.

What We Do

For over 200 years, Presbyterians have been responding to the call of Jesus Christ, taking the gospel into all the world and bearing witness to Christ’s saving love to the ends of the earth. Today the Holy Spirit is still on the move, calling us to share in what God is doing in the world.

Our Community

We recognize Christ’s urgent call to be a church of action, where God’s love, justice and mercy shine forth and are contagious. And we rejoice how our re-energized faith can unite all Presbyterians for a common and holy purpose: our common identity to do mission.
